We all know that not all children walk or crawl on two legs… some have FOUR! Saturday, May 14th is National Dog Mom Day!

This is the day we take to celebrate all those wonderful moms who vacuum up the shedding, wipe the muddy paw prints on their pants, & dodge the slobbery kisses.

SO PLEASE SAY A QUICK “THANK YOU” TO ALL THE DOG MOMS IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAVE RESCUED & CARED FOR THE

Selena Gomez is new to the animal fostering biz but she fell for the oldest trick in the book during the COVID pandemic. She agreed to foster this sweet puppy, Daisy, & now (of course) Daisy has joined the Gomez household!

One of Hollywood’s largest canine captains is Kristen Bell! She uses her platform to strongly advocate for rescue programs such as Pawsitive Change Program, connecting inmates with dog training courses.

HOW DO WE CELEBRATE?

Here at South Memorial Animal Hospital, we love to give back! So while we would love to shout out a huge “THANK YOU” to all the wonderful dog moms that we are lucky to know, we want to shift some of the spotlight to those in need in our community.

Introducing…. Paws in Need!! PINT is one of our favorite local shelters servicing the Tulsa metro area. They are a completely VOLUNTEER-RUN program that works tirelessly to provide for Tulsa’s homeless pet population.

They offer a variety of service to help others out such as:

  • Veterinary Expenses
  • Foster Homes
  • Foster Supplies
  • Boarding
  • Public Awareness & Education
