Cartoon rainbow and red heart with text Thank you. National Vet Tech Week annual event.

This week is a special time to thank and show appreciation to our awesome vet techs, assistants, receptionists, and kennel techs. We need each and every one of them to make it through the day. What do they do exactly? They are nurses, anesthesiologists, emotional support, bloodwork technicians, clean-up crew, and so much more! They deserve ALL of our respect and love!

Courtney is an animal lover to her core, and keeps South Memorial Animal Hospital running smoothly. She is our office manager and one of our technicians. Her real passion is working with our adoptable patients, so if you’re looking to rescue/adopt a new member of your family, Courtney will be delighted to help you.

A lifelong Oklahoman, Courtney loves spending time with her own rescue dogs, and she also loves camping. Two of her dogs have special needs so you can rest assured that Courtney can compassionately handle it all!

Jane is our wonderful groomer and canine massage therapist. She’s been part of our South Memorial Animal Hospital family for 11+ years.

In addition to being a professional groomer who makes your furry friends look fabulous, she’s a certified Canine Therapeutic Massage Therapist. She helps pets who have arthritis or are timid and need help socializing.

Jane has three poodles, two cats and several pet chickens. She has three daughters and loves spending time being Mimi to her four grandchildren.

Kaytlinn is our soon-to-be-registered Vet Tech! What does that mean? She has graduated from a licensed Registered Vet Tech Program! She is professionally trained to provide the best care for your pets!

She is originally from Tulsa and loved it so much she stayed here with us! Outside of work, Kaytlinn enjoys quite a few hobbies including playing with her two dogs, hunting, and fishing. Her lifelong dream is to become a large animal veterinarian and is in the process of making that dream come true!

Terri is one of our receptionists here at SMAH. She is a blessing that jumped onboard right as we needed her. Originally from California, her heart was stolen by rural Oklahoma living! She is very passionate about animal care and has quite a few furry friends of her own! Terri has 4 dogs, 3 horses, & 2 cats. Meatball, her cutest furbaby (don’t tell the others) comes to work with her so you will be seeing his sweet little face soon!

When not helping clients and pets have the best experience they can, Terri enjoys spending time with her family, her 3 kids, and familiarizing herself with the local area. She also loves riding her horses and can be found exploring the local trails. Please help us in giving her a very warm, Tulsa welcome!

Amy is a Certified Veterinary Assistant and one of our team members! What does a CVA mean? She is officially formally educated and certified to be a vet assistant. Amy and Dr. Boomer have known each other for quite awhile and he is one of the first to sing her praises and a kind, and empathetic soul.

She is originally from Bristow although Tulsa stole her heart. She has 4 dogs (Isabella, Ace, Sunset, and Apollo) who think the house is theirs! In her spare time, Amy loves to bowl and spend time with her daughters, Danielle, Desaree, and Destiny. Her favorite things to do in the vet field are snuggling patients (of course!) and to assist Dr. Boomer with surgical procedures.
